Rustic Peace
I’m a little disturbed after reading some of these negative reviews. Spiders and bugs? Well, yes, maybe you don’t notice that you were driving through the woods on the way to the lodge. Musty smell? Nope. I don’t know where you get that, maybe you haven’t stayed on a lake before- but we come up from Nashville about 5-6 times a year, and I’ve never smelled anything remotely musty. A little outdated? At one time perhaps, (I liked the charm) but they have since updated all the rooms. Now, what will you find? Absolute serenity (if you can leave your snobbery at the entrance), a beautiful rustic lodge with every room having a balcony overlooking the lake or the cove, a little path by the lake with benches to watch the sunrise or sunset, a pier to fish off, seasonally a fantastic pool overlooking the lake, an available fitness center nearby with an atrium heated pool, sauna, steam room…….and some of the friendliest, hardworking people you will meet. We travel all over- but we love to come here to get away from it all, and are always treated like old friends. The restaurant staff is amazing, and I love the food there. I’ve never had any complaints really about anything here. Like I stated- we love it here
