TOP location, top staff, shame the kitchen.
The position is 10 because:
1) for those who ski, the hotel is opposite the cable car that goes up to the slopes of the Marmolada;
2) for those who just want to entertain children with sledges, it is very close (not even half an hour by car) to Alleghe or Ciampac;
3) inside the complex there is a shopping cloister with minimarket, ski rental, photographer, souvenir, bar.
Rating 10 also to the staff: the manager is kind, the animation guys Annalisa and Lazzaro are welcoming and tireless and compliments to the dining service of Emilio at the Postiglione restaurant.
The only substantial flaw of this hotel is the restaurant. There are two restaurants, I was allocated to the Postiglione (the one on the -1 floor) then there is one on the ground floor, to the right of the reception.
Not so much because it is a canteen service, but because the dishes are of low quality, also because they start from raw materials of very low level (non-Italian extra virgin olive oil, scarce hazelnut spread, coffee and automatic cappuccinos that do not taste of coffee, pies with dry pastries every day, tasteless empty croissants, water and juices from automatic machines, pastas with visible mixed industrial frozen fish, chewy potato cakes).
Rating 5 also to the pool which, as per the many reviews read on Booking.com, is very cold and with no service for relaxing by the pool.
I hope the owners (the hotel is part of a chain) will work on these two points, because the people who work there deserve only high scores and, were it up to them, I would go back every year.
