a diamond of a boutique hotel!
one of the liveliest neighborhoods in Tel Aviv but extremely quiet street.
a warm and friendly welcome (we made 2 check-ins, one week apart)
we rush to help you with the luggage, we recognize you and we smile at you at reception: these are details that have become very rare in Tel Aviv and elsewhere..
the room is not very large (#15m2) but perfectly equipped.
Ditto for the bathroom.
rooftop swimming pool.
no breakfast but many bakeries and pastries in the neighborhood which compete in creativity
not to mention the large “souk hacarmel” market less than 5 minutes walk away and Nespresso coffee maker in the room.
(to recommend the exceptional breakfast at the Saul hotel, 5 minutes walk: have the avocado sandwich, a must!)
and then the best: an exceptional restaurant (“Young”): Japanese fusion - Orient - Israel: madness
book well in advance because it is full every evening, in a superbly decorated atmosphere and frequented by a young and lively clientele. a unique experience in Tel Aviv.
in short, a magnificent experience and now my base camp in Tel Aviv!

Worst ever. Avoid at all cost.
1. Access - The main avenue next to the hotel (Alenbi) is in construction, Creating massive noise and access issues which the hotel failed to notify guests in advance.
2. Reservation - Room was not ready in time for check-in and the outlook was an hour and a half out. Unacceptable.
3. House - Cleanliness, or lack thereof. The room was not very clean when checking in. Some water on the floor by the minibar fridge and a puddle behind the toilet.
4. Noise - This hotel has high levels of noise from some pool club on the roof. Also, people linger in front of the hotel entrance on chairs and create noise well into the night (3am).
5. House - On day 2, the hotel failed to clean my room - completely. I made sure when leaving in the morning that there was no indication that the room is not to be cleaned left.
Upon returning at 4:30pm, I discovered the room was not cleaned at all. Response at the front deck was a joke, with some weird excuse that is being checked and no firm indication when they were going to address the situation.
Shortening my stay. Moving to another hotel. This is pathetic. Avoid at all cost.

Modern boutique hotel near Carmel market
It has friendly stuff, check-in is easy. They offer on site parking for a nominal price. There is a good gym. There is a popular restaurant and bar, although we did not eat there.
The room was small, but functional and very modern and clean with a comfortable bed. Plenty of outlets. There was an Nespresso machine for free use.
There is a mini fridge with free beer.
The bathroom is small, modern, excellent rain shower. Not a lot of space for your stuff.
There is a turn down service in the evening with restocking of supplies.
There is a rooftop wading pool and sunbathing. Good view from on the roof.
The hotel is about 10 minutes walk to Rothschild Street at about 10 minutes to the beach. There are many restaurants close by the street it is on is residential.
