Particular Hotel, really nice!
I stayed in this hotel several times in the last years and I can say that this is very original hotel structure and position in a German region in which there are no so many beautiful place.
Rooms are very clean and well re-structured, restaurant inside is very very good every time and the Staff is an advantage value too!

Overall satisfied. The breakfast and the WiFi should be urgently improved
The hotel is in a quiet location in the forest, where you have to turn off the main road into a very narrow side road that only has room for one vehicle. This means that there is not enough space for two people when there is oncoming traffic and one of the vehicles has to be reversed to the next exit (approx. every 150/200 meters). When you arrive at the hotel, there are several parking spaces available in front of the hotel free of charge. The rooms in the hotel are modern and comfortably furnished with a double bed, desk, chair, armchair, flat screen TV, large mirror, wardrobe, etc. The bathroom is also very spacious and has a large walk-in shower.
The WiFi network was disappointing, as it is very slow and breaks down several times.
The breakfast was also not what my colleague and I had expected for a hotel in this price range (€113/night).

Excellent Hotel With Superb Staff.
I stayed here for two nights with a colleague on business.
To summarise this really is a true 'hideaway' hotel (a bit of a waste for a business trip), being situated on the outskirts of a sleepy village a couple of km down a very narrow road.
My room on the second floor was very large and cosy with a great bathroom with skylight windows. It was really comfortable.
The restaurant, despite only having a limited menu, was excellent, serving high quality German food with an excellent range of beer and spirits.
The staff at the hotel were lovely and very funny (especially the restaurant staff) and were great to chat to.
I had excellent nights sleep in the comfortable bed, and with the hotel being miles from any civilisation, was exceptionally quiet.
Breakfast was also good, with the usual selection of cold meats / bread / cheese / yogurt etc.
An excellent stay all round and I look forward to returning before the end of the year!

Calm and comfortable, great food
We had a very good dinner in this restaurant and the rooms were modern but comfy. Unfortunately, I did not have the opportunity to see the surroundings, but the Kalkhuette is well situated for walks, bike excursions etc. It may be more interesting than at a city hotel, if you have access to a car, that is.

Sehr zu empfehlen!
Ein wirklich schönes Hotel, mitten im Tal gelegen, am Ende einer Sackgasse.
Völlig neu renovierte Zimmer die sich wirklich sehen lassen können, ein freundlicher Service und sehr gutes Essen.
Passt alles!
