We booked this accomodation and noticed there was a message to phone 30 minutes before arrival- we thought that meant if we were arriving outside the posted reservation desk hours.(till 9pm)
They were not expecting us when we got there at 8.30pm - we felt uncomfortable walking into the restaurant/ reservation desk in the middle of a party.
It was very clean and had a great breakfast.

Es ist ein kleines, ruhiges und sauberes Hotel an einer Bergwiese in ca. 700m Höhe mit Sicht ins "Fränchische". Hier kocht der Chef selbst und gut. Auch draußen wurde an überdachten, rustikalen Bauernmöbeln freundlich serviert. Das Früstücksbufet ist einfach, aber liebevoll angerichtet und ausreichend. Vom Hotel haben wir Wanderungen in die Höhe des Thüringerwaldes unternommen und mit dem Auto zu interessanten Museen in Coburg, Rödental und Sonneberg aufgesucht.
