Great place very clean ! My best place the coffee house ❤️

We have been to several resorts and hotels in the Dominican republic for several years , and this place feels a bit "simple" to claim it's a 5 star hotel. The rooms are dated and the bathroom and especially the showers need a fresh up.
A hotel room is a hotel room even if you call it a Junior suite, and the junior suites at this resort is definitely noting more that a standard hotel room..
When that is said the place is clean and the restaurant is good!(The hot food is a bit to cold) The staff is amazing from the reception to the restaurant, housekeeping and bars ! Everyone is smiling and friendly.
When we got our room it had no towels and the minibar was not stocked, but they fixed it after we talked to the reception several times. (One should have been enough).
I was surprised that the minibar din not come with a drop of alcohol, not that I expected hard alcohol, but a beer or two would not be unexpected at a 5 star all inclusive hotel.
The restaurant seams to always be out of glasses, no glasses for juice in the morning and you get your red-wine in glasses ment for sparkling wine in the evening. And it takes to long before you get drinks and cutlery in the restaurant. Maybe they need a few more employees!?
It's way to few places to sit down when you want a drink in the evening, the sports-bar and area outside needs more tables and chairs and there is surly space for it.

We go to DR allot to visit family. This resort hands down is top two on the Puerto Plata side of the island. The service was great and the pool was a good temperature and energized setting with pool bar. The food was okay in the main dining area but there was more than enough options to satisfy everyone. The wine could be greatly improved in main dining. We only tried two of the three reservation restaurants. The Italian one was excellent. The steakhouse was hard to enjoy because the AC was not working. Next time we'll try the Japanese restaurant. The grounds was kept well & clean. The sportbar had great service & staff was ready to accommodate with food & drinks. I have to say nothing against the men bartenders in the sports bar they were super helpful. But the woman bartenders at the sportsbar all had excellent skills to make any drink we requested. Thank you ladies you made my wife really happy everytime she ordered a drink from you.
The resort should attempt to upgrade the furniture around the bar itself. The stools & high table set with blue chairs is great. But everything else in that indoor section should go. The outside tables & chairs that are set to watch a show on stage are great so I would suggest those stay as well if possible.
Lastly, the timeshare hustle takes away from the quality of resort. If there is a way for the resort to take over the restaurant space & mini pool attached that is run by the timeshare would do wonders for the resort.

Went to three different rooms it was hot in all three they would not do anything I had to sleep with out cover sweeting all night long could not believe a resort would treat a guest that bad they control the air in the rooms can not turn the air down enough to sleep comfortably will never go back there
