Stayed here as part of a cross country trip and it was very nice to stay in a comfortable home instead of a hotel. I like hotels but Lily's garden felt like home which was a very nice change of pace and perfect for feeling Charlottetown. The location was very convenient with a car as it was less than 1 minutes to get to the touristy spots in Charlottetown. The areas were all clean and the other guests were quests were quiet and respectful as well. There was free wifi and laundry which was a huge help! Would definitely stay here again.

Misleading and uncomfortable
My family booked a room with two double beds for three adults at Lily’s Garden in Charlottetown through Expedia and the Avion Rewards app. Our experience was highly disappointing. The property was littered with trash, lacked clear signage, and the self-check-in process was confusing. Instead of a motel, it turned out to be a converted house with communal spaces, and the promised amenities were nonexistent.
Upon arrival at Lily’s Garden, we were met with trash scattered across the yard. Something had clearly torn into the trash bags and it had not been picked up. Backing into the driveway, we were faced with a blank wall and no signs to guide us. Parking was also very limited as it was a residential driveway and not a parking lot. We had to arrange with other guests to move their cars so we could exit the next day. Additionally, despite following Google Maps, there were no directions to indicate where to go. After calling the listed number and receiving a map, we eventually found the entrance through a garden porch with a code-locked door. The self-check-in would have been more convenient with proper instructions and signage.
Lily’s Garden is essentially a glorified hostel, not a motel. It features a communal living room, dining room, kitchen, and two shared bathrooms for all the guests to use. The absence of a private bathroom, which we expected from a motel, was frustrating. Having to wait for other guests to finish washing up and then use the washroom after multiple people have use it was disappointing, as it is not what we expected, nor was it advertised. While the bathrooms appeared clean, a closer look revealed grime and dirt, and the walls were cracked throughout the property. Our room, though clean, was outdated with uncomfortable beds akin to sleeping on cardboard. Despite being advertised as having various amenities, such as free drinks, hors d’oeuvres, and fresh juice, none were provided. When we messaged the owner about this, they replied that they have chosen not to offer them at all and have not updated the information on the listing, which was extremely disappointing and misleading. The only available coffee lacked milk, and the pastries were nonexistent. The property is about a 10-minute drive from downtown Charlottetown, making a car necessary. Overall, the exterior appearance was misleading based on the photos online, and the deceptive advertisements and lack of promised amenities made this stay feel like a scam.
I would truly recommend staying elsewhere, unless the aforementioned issues do not bother you. The price is cheap which was nice since we were not staying long, but the disappointing lack of comfortable amenities made this experience not worth it.

Heavy walking right above the room in the middle of the night for several hours. Dusty floor. Rotting food in the main fridge. Pathway to door poorly lit at night. Not notified about no breakfast until after booking.

THIS PLACE NEEDS TO BE INSPECTED before any other guests stay. Description & photos on Hotels.com not accurate .
Accommodation are in the basement of a house. No outside lighting- had to walk down steep grass hill- there was 1 small solar light that did not light up much of anything. Garbage bags outside entrance way. Room was not clean. Beds only had fit sheet and blanket on each bed- no top sheet Bed cover was stained. Contact host she said she would send " her staff" to deal with it."Staff" was the girl friend (named April) of the upstair boarder who had no idea where anything was- was on phone with Lily to learn how to access sheets and covers( she handed me sheets said she had an uber waiting for her outside & left me to make up my own beds . (Note reviews in Nov were written" by April"- was that the upstair boarder's girlfriend who posted on Hotels .com site giving 10/10 rating so all sounds good but then you dig a little deeper go back to earlier reviews and you see very poor reviews 2/10 and 4/10. If I had seen these I never would have reserved a room here.
I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND this accommodation .

Jar of Instant coffee in room.Advertised sound proof walls but we could here people walking around upstairs above us and here other guests in basement floor.

I just returned from a wonderful stay at Lilly’s Garden. The accommodations were fantastic—clean and inviting. The standout for me was the staff; their hospitality was unmatched. They made sure I had a great experience from start to finish. I’ll definitely be back!
